Funeral Assistance
25€ per hour – this will include assistance from your first call, meeting with you to help with all of the paperwork concerning the death, phone calls and emails to your chosen funeral director in France. If repatriation of the deceased is desired this will include liaison with the funeral directors in the United Kingdom and any associated parties. (The repatriation service would be included on purchase of the fully inclusive “In the Event of My Death Plan”)

Preparation of Service sheets/Celebration of Life
25€ per hour – this will include the preparation and finished product to suit your requirements in English, French or both combined. Individual copies 1€ each

Planning and taking the service for you in a crematorium
25€ per hour – this includes meeting with you to discuss the type of service you require, travelling expenses to the crematorium, arranging any music for you, composition of an eulogy, liaison with the crematorium for dates, times and general advice.

“In the Event of My Death Plan” – Simplified
I can either meet with you at your home or discuss your future requirements by telephone and/or email. The Simplified Plan offers you the following:

  • I will complete a funeral arrangement form detailing your instructions for your funeral requirements

  • Take your detailed instructions on your wishes after death and forward this on to you or your representative.

  • Advice on the procedures and the laws involved following a death in France and the United Kingdom

  • Prepare a check list of the procedures and formalities to take after death that either your family or chosen representative needs after your death

  • Prepare a complete list of family members names, contact numbers and addresses or details of your representative in the event of your death

  • A list of where documents can be located (Wills, Birth & Marriage certificate, passport and any other important documents)

  • A list of your financial assets such as bank and savings accounts, investments, Life insurance policies, Funeral Insurance policy, pensions and endowments.

  • Details of accountants, solicitors, investment advisors, Notaire.

  • This will also include a list of all administrative telephone calls and letters, in English and French that are required by professional organisations in France and the UK

  • Forms will be available for you to outline details of your personal and business affairs

  • Once completed all of this will be incorporated into a fully comprehensive book with your funeral arrangements organised according to the plans drawn up within the booklet and mailed to you within 14 days.

“In the Event of My Death Plan” – All inclusive
I can either meet with you at your home or discuss your future requirements by telephone and/or email. The All Inclusive Plan offers you the following:

  • I will complete a funeral arrangement form detailing your instructions for your funeral requirements

  • Take your detailed instructions on your wishes after death and forward this on to you or your representative.

  • Advice on the procedures and the laws involved following a death in France and the United Kingdom

  • Prepare a check list of the procedures and formalities to take after death that either your family or chosen representative needs after your death

  • Prepare a complete list of family members names, contact numbers and addresses or details of your representative in the event of your death

  • A list of where documents can be located (Wills, Birth & Marriage certificate, passport and any other important documents)

  • This will also include a full bi-lingual service covering all telephone calls and letters of administration in English and French, required by both French and UK authorities on your death (templates supplied)

  • Forms will be available within the book for you to outline details of your personal and business affairs. This can then be lodged with your Notaire with a letter of instruction (template supplied) giving permission for this information to be given over on your death enabling all deadlines of notification to be met

  • Once completed all of this will be incorporated into a fully comprehensive book with your funeral arrangements organised according to the plans drawn up within the booklet and mailed to you within 14 days.

If you require a personal meeting my charges will be:-

  • 25kms radius no hourly charge – Plan fee only

  • Above 25kms radius a surcharge of 25€ per hour travelling time.
    No extra fee on meeting – Plan fee only

  • Administration charges for any extra work required not involved in the setting up of the In the Event of My Death Plans a fee of 25€ per hour will be charged.

Seminars and small informal group meetings
Advice on the procedures, laws and practical advice on death, funerals and aftercare.

25€ per hour – this includes travelling expenses to the location, and handouts to all participants.
